Protection relays keep power networks safe, and Siemens Smart Infrastructure's Customer Service division needs a senior engineer in Jeddah to test and maintain them. Work is office and site based, with locations including Medina, Yanbu and Badr Hunayn as well as Jeddah. Siemens SIPROTEC 5 & 4 and Reyrolle relays are central, alongside ABB, GE and SEL protection relays. Medium voltage switchgear testing covers CT, VT, CR tests and CB timing, while low voltage switchgear work includes CT, VT and CR tests. Advanced protection function testing takes in busbar, distance and line/transformer differential schemes. When faults occur on HV, MV or LV systems, you troubleshoot, analyse what happened and find the root cause. Ten years of relevant experience is expected, along with proven testing and commissioning expertise on medium and low voltage switchgear. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent certification is required, and qualified Saudi nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
