Job description
The Assurance Manager – Core Assurance (Non-Financial Services) role at PwC Middle East, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, sits within the Core Assurance business unit, a cornerstone of PwC’s Assurance practice focused on delivering high-quality audits that build trust and drive sustained outcomes. PwC is a global professional services network with offices in 152 countries and nearly 328,000 professionals, with over 40 years of presence in the Middle East. This role is responsible for managing the full audit cycle for a portfolio of iconic non-financial services clients, delivering independent assurance over financial reporting using a human-led, tech-powered approach. The position involves designing audit strategies, managing audit execution in line with engagement leader guidance, advising clients on financial reporting and regulatory developments, and ensuring compliance with risk, quality, and independence requirements. The role also contributes to business development, client relationship management at senior levels including boards of directors and audit committees, and the adoption of audit transformation technologies, data analytics tools, and alternative delivery models to enhance audit quality and robustness.

Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients with responsibility for day-to-day client liaison and technical issue management
- Lead and manage the full audit cycle from planning through execution to completion in alignment with engagement leader guidance
- Design audit strategies and manage audit execution while advising clients on financial reporting and regulatory developments
- Assist in and drive business development activities by identifying and researching opportunities for new and existing clients
- Manage and deliver large audit projects, ensuring key deadlines and quality standards are met
- Maintain senior client relationships, including delivering presentations to boards of directors and audit committees
- Ensure compliance with risk management, quality standards, and independence requirements
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes, local and national business, and economic issues through ongoing professional development
- Encourage and support the use of audit transformation technologies, data analytics tools, and alternative delivery models
- Coach, mentor, and develop audit team members while contributing to recruitment, interviewing, and selection processes
Experience & skills
- Hold a degree in accounting, finance, or a related academic major
- Possess 6–8 years of professional experience in external financial audit within a Big 4 firm
- Have completed a recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACA, or CPA
- Demonstrate experience auditing a diverse range of industries
- Show strong project management experience managing audits from planning to completion
- Maintain confidence in delivering high-quality audit testing and documentation
- Bring knowledge of audit technologies and experience using data analytics tools as an advantage
- Demonstrate bilingual proficiency in English, with Arabic proficiency considered a plus
