Job description
The Technical IT Support Specialist at Fairmont RAMLA Riyadh is responsible for providing frontline technical support and maintaining IT infrastructure across a luxury hospitality environment, ensuring smooth operation of PCs, servers, databases, and network systems. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues for end users and in-house guests, modifying configuration settings, utilities, and software default settings to optimize system performance, and supporting server administration including Windows Server and operating systems such as Windows and Linux. The position requires database management including backup and optimization to maintain data integrity and performance, conducting system health checks and capacity studies to ensure optimal performance of servers and network infrastructure, and supporting workstation setup including installation, testing, and configuration of new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software. The role also includes assisting with PC setup and IT access during user onboarding, providing guest-facing IT support within the hotel, and maintaining operational continuity of hospitality IT services. The Technical IT Support Specialist must follow hotel fire and life safety procedures, participate in meetings, training sessions, and briefings, maintain professional standards, and perform additional duties as assigned by management while supporting the luxury hospitality IT environment.

- Provide frontline technical support by troubleshooting PCs, servers, and IT infrastructure issues for end users and in-house guests while ensuring timely resolution and maintaining operational continuity within the hotel environment
- Support server administration activities including Windows Server management, operating system support for Windows and Linux, and ensuring optimal performance of IT infrastructure through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Modify configuration settings, utilities, and software default settings to optimize system performance and improve reliability of hotel IT infrastructure and network systems
- Perform database management activities including database backup, optimization, and monitoring to maintain data integrity, performance, and availability across hospitality systems
- Conduct regular system health checks and capacity planning studies to ensure optimal performance of servers, networks, and IT infrastructure while identifying risks and implementing improvements
- Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software while assisting with PC setup, system configuration, and IT access for onboarding new users
- Provide IT support to in-house guests by troubleshooting IT-related issues and ensuring seamless guest technology experience within the luxury hospitality environment
- Participate in safety awareness initiatives, follow fire and life safety procedures, attend meetings and training sessions, maintain professional standards, and perform additional IT support duties assigned by hotel management
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology or related field with foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure, network support, and server management
- Demonstrate 2–3 years of experience in network support, computer systems, and server management within enterprise or hospitality environments
- Possess technical knowledge of operating systems including Windows and Linux and experience supporting server environments and IT infrastructure
- Show experience in database management including database backup, optimization, and performance monitoring activities
- Demonstrate knowledge of network support, system troubleshooting, workstation setup, and peripheral configuration
- Possess experience with Microsoft Office and IT support tools used for end-user troubleshooting and administrative tasks
- Demonstrate experience supporting user onboarding including PC setup, system configuration, and access provisioning
- Meet nationality requirement as Saudi national and demonstrate ability to work within hospitality IT operations supporting luxury hotel environments
