Job description
The AI Specialist at Snowflake in Dubai within the Applied Field Engineering team for the META region is responsible for combining deep AI/ML technical expertise with solution engineering and technical sales to drive adoption of Snowflake’s AI/ML ecosystem. The role focuses on aligning technical AI solutions with customer business requirements, acting as a trusted advisor to customers and internal stakeholders, and influencing strategic technical decisions. The position involves designing and implementing complex, scalable AI/ML architectures leveraging Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), vector databases, embeddings, AI agents, and unstructured data processing technologies. The AI Specialist provides hands-on technical guidance to AI/ML teams, supports adoption of Snowflake features and best practices, and ensures scalability, performance, and security of solutions. The role includes delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops, troubleshooting customer workloads, and collaborating cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product teams, GSIs, CSPs, and ISVs. The position also contributes to thought leadership through blog posts, white papers, quickstarts, and industry events. Additional technical responsibilities include coding AI/ML prototypes using Python, pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, PyTorch, and Snowpark Python, while leveraging MLOps practices such as feature stores, model registries, observability, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines. The role also benefits from experience in data engineering and Snowflake AI/ML ecosystem, ensuring cutting-edge innovation and alignment with industry trends across diverse industries in the META region.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Drive solution selling aligned with the sales engineering organization by providing technical AI/ML expertise and aligning Snowflake solutions with customer business objectives
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers and internal stakeholders, guiding adoption of Snowflake AI/ML capabilities, best practices, and ecosystem technologies
- Influence the design and implementation of complex AI/ML architectures ensuring scalability, performance, security, and reliability across customer environments
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and support to AI/ML teams during critical deployments, implementations, and customer engagements
- Deliver technical presentations, architecture workshops, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements to customers and partners
- Troubleshoot customer workloads and resolve technical challenges leveraging expertise in AI/ML, data platforms, and cloud architectures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product teams, GSIs, CSPs, and ISVs to align technical solutions with business objectives
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives including blog posts, white papers, quickstarts, and participation in industry events
Experience & skills
- Experience with Generative AI technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs), vector databases, embeddings, and AI agents
- Strong machine learning expertise using Python ecosystem including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, and PyTorch
- Demonstrated ability to code AI/ML prototypes using Python and preferably Snowpark Python
- Experience designing complex and scalable AI/ML solution architectures across multiple industries
- Experience with Snowflake AI/ML ecosystem preferred
- Knowledge of data engineering concepts and adjacent disciplines
- Experience with MLOps practices including feature stores, model registries, and observability
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
