Job description
Based in Oman ā Muscat (OQM ā Global Supply Chain ā Logistics, outbound Muscat; Entity: OQ Refineries and Petrol; Business Unit: OQ Marketing; Job Req ID: 56594), the Sr/ Specialist Logistics Delivery supports day-to-day execution of outbound logistics operations, executing local and international logistics plans in line with business requirements, coordinating with shipping lines and logistics service providers (LSPs), organizing shipment routes to meet company and client needs, managing the delivery of OQM orders, and resolving related concerns to drive operational efficiency and exceptional customer experience. The role prepares client communications, tracks shipments, maintains accurate shipping records, and produces reports against suitable KPIs. Scope includes analysis and timely development of logistics plans, organizing all shipments per priorities in coordination with internal stakeholders and LSPs, proposing optimum routes with recommendations, coordinating with Global Supply Chain, Global Sales, Global Marketing, and RPI Credit teams, offering advice to clients on optimum shipping routes, maintaining relationships with clients, preparing and communicating delivery schedules to relevant departments, and ensuring shipment records are up to date. The position ensures cost-effective, timely export operations through effective vendor management and adherence to transportation laws and regulations and awareness of international transportation rules & IMO regulations, supported by an IT technology platform, HSE standards, Omani government and other territorial legal jurisdictions, and best international practices. Notable working conditions include an office environment with intensive computer use and travel. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelorās degree (Engineering/Logistics/Supply Chain/Economics/Finance/Business or equivalent), 5+ years of relevant experience, strong expertise in logistics processes and shipping terms, knowledge of transportation laws and regulations and international transportation rules & IMO regulations, computer literacy including MS Office, shipments operation, export documentation, KPI setting, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.

Key responsibilities
- Execute local and international logistics plans in line with business requirements and priorities
- Organize all outbound shipments in coordination with internal stakeholders and logistics service providers, ensuring timely preparation and alignment
- Analyze and propose optimum shipment routes with clear recommendations to meet company and client needs
- Manage delivery of OQM orders, resolve logistics-related concerns, and ensure seamless end-to-end outbound processes
- Coordinate with OQM teams (Global Supply Chain, Global Sales, Global Marketing, RPI Credit) to address logistics inquiries promptly and effectively
- Advise clients on selecting optimum shipping routes and maintain relationships through proactive communications and tracking
- Prepare and communicate delivery schedules to relevant departments to ensure execution readiness
- Track shipments and maintain accurate, up-to-date shipping records and documentation
- Produce required reports on logistics activities against suitable KPIs and ensure data integrity
- Engage and manage shipping lines, ports, terminals, and logistics partners to achieve cost-effective, compliant export operations
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, Business, or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in logistics delivery and shipments operations
- Strong expertise in logistics processes and shipping terms with knowledge of transportation laws and regulations
- Awareness of international transportation rules and IMO regulations for export operations
- Proficiency in shipments operation, export documentation, KPI setting, and reporting
- Computer literacy including MS Office and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent written, read, and spoken language skills for the local or targeted market
- Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (LSPs, ports, terminals, customers) and maintain accurate shipping records
