Job description
The Director Sales (UPT) will lead and manage the sales team for the MENA ex-KSA region, driving the achievement of annual order targets and ensuring the execution of strategic account plans. Responsible for overseeing a diverse sales team and managing a robust 18-month sales forecast through Salesforce (SFDC), the role involves guiding team performance, maintaining account health, and maximizing regional revenue. The director will engage directly with clients in refining, petrochemical, and gas sectors to promote UOP processes, products, services, and solutions, establishing Honeywell as a preferred technology partner. This includes prioritizing projects, setting strategies, supporting licensing deals, and employing best-in-class sales methodologies such as Miller-Heiman and Value Proposal Selling. The role also requires cross-functional collaboration with internal directors, marketers, and service teams to align goals and drive opportunity conversion.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Meet or exceed annual UPT order targets for the MENA ex-KSA region
- Manage the 18-month forecast in SFDC and maintain account compliance with Credit & Collections
- Develop and execute strategic plans (STRAP) for assigned accounts
- Lead and coach the geographically diverse sales team
- Maintain deep knowledge of refining, petrochemical, and gas market trends
- Drive adoption of new business offerings and ensure model success
- Engage directly with clients to promote and sell UOP technologies and solutions
- Coordinate with UPT, LST, and Service Directors to support regional objectives
- Strategize, negotiate, and close major deals
- Develop regional strategies aligned with Middle East market trends
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews to ensure opportunity progression
- Recruit, train, and mentor sales team using PSS and Solution Selling frameworks
- Support team development through SFDC and growth planning
Experience & skills
- Minimum 10+ years of leadership experience with a track record in sales performance
- Experience in licensing, oil & gas, and petrochemicals industries
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of MENA market dynamics
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
