Job description
Qiddiya's Commercial Office Development portfolio sits inside a wider giga-project masterplan, and this Director of Technical Services role leads the technical services discipline across that entire portfolio in Riyadh. You translate Qiddiya's design vision into deliverable, investment-grade office assets, carrying projects from concept and masterplan integration through design development, authority approvals and construction-ready documentation. A network of international architecture and multidiscipline engineering consultants reports into this role, alongside a functional team of subject matter experts covering civil and structural engineering, MEP and facades. Design competitions, consultant selection and the novation of architectural firms and lead design consultants all draw on your specialist input, working closely with the design management function. Concept design, schematic design, detailed design development and construction documentation stages get directed in support of the specialist design managers, keeping design intent intact through to delivery. Masterplanning, infrastructure, landscape and sustainability teams get interfaced with regularly to keep design outcomes fully coordinated. Compliance runs against the Saudi Building Code, Mostadam and LEED sustainability targets, civil defense requirements, and Qiddiya's own design, technical, smart and sustainability guidelines. You chair design review boards and technical workshops, lead value engineering exercises across specialist disciplines, and present design proposals to executive leadership, investment committees and government stakeholders. Building out the in-house technical services function is part of the mandate too, growing alongside the Commercial Office Development pipeline as it scales.
