Job description
The incumbent will be responsible for proactively managing QNB Groupās selected Corporate Banking portfolio, branches, and affiliates in order to achieve set targets for revenue, profit, profitability, and volumes, in compliance with QNB Group credit policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and international best practices. The role includes the formulation and implementation of corporate strategies and initiatives across the portfolio, identifying business opportunities across the group, and enhancing profitability, service, and delivery. The role demands an understanding of client banking needs to ensure they are comprehensively met. The role includes managing a team, maintaining risk parameters, conducting due diligence, and delivering on cross-functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure implementation of the strategies and plans to achieve all volume, revenue, and profit targets for the Selected Portfolio function.
- Support the EVP International Corporate in the development of Key Performance Indicators for performance monitoring and evaluation.
- Meet target budgets for client relationships comprising assets and liability product sales and profits.
- Coordinate between Selected Portfolio and subsidiaries to review financial performance.
- Implement KPIās and best practices for International Corporate Relationship Management.
- Promote cost consciousness and enhance productivity to optimise benefits.
- Act within delegated powers and monitor staff authority.
- Understand factors behind the bank's financial and non-financial performance.
- Coordinate with QNB functions to support and cross-sell within the QNB Group.
- Provide a single point of contact for clients, ensuring superior service.
- Assist clients with queries and ensure efficient solutions.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new clients.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs to improve turnaround time.
- Build strong relationships with QNB Functions to achieve cross-selling targets.
- Provide timely information to auditors and compliance teams.
- Implement approved corporate banking strategy to exceed objectives.
- Ensure compliance of Selected Portfolio activities with regulations.
- Manage and motivate a team to meet financial and non-financial targets.
- Monitor and manage credit profile and implement corrective measures.
- Review credit proposals and recommend approvals.
- Ensure balanced portfolios and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide technical expertise to team for credit proposal quality.
- Maintain and update sales database and client contact information.
- Conduct client visits, meetings, and presentations.
- Ensure collection of facility and account documentation.
- Report any customer-related negative developments and take remedial action.
- Promote cross-selling to enhance customer relationships.
- Supervise roll-out of corporate banking products.
- Develop professional relationships with key client managers.
- Devise marketing strategies and client target lists with Marketing Unit.
- Track transaction volumes, budget performance, and profitability.
- Report portfolio performance to EVP and executive management.
- Oversee HR-related aspects of unit personnel.
- Lead recruitment and performance standards of team.
- Encourage innovative thinking and continuous improvement.
- Lead improvement initiatives through cross-functional teams.

Experience & skills
- University graduate preferably with a Major in banking; Master's preferred.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank.
- Experience in regional and international corporate client segments.
- Knowledge of competitive market structures and compliance requirements.
- Fluency in English and Arabic, with strong report writing skills.
- Strong awareness of risk management concepts and practices.
- Understanding of Corporate Banking regulations and products.
- Ability to make decisions and implement initiatives.
- High personal integrity and self-management skills.
- Strong planning, organizing, and analytical abilities.
- Results-oriented approach with team motivation capabilities.
