Job description
Procurement and Supply Chain, HR, Administration, ESG, and HSSE all fall within the audit scope this Audit Engagement Manager covers, working end to end across Omantel's operation domain. Global Internal Audit Standards, IPPF, and local regulatory requirements such as FSA guide every engagement, keeping audit documentation and reporting to a high standard throughout. You manage and deliver internal audit engagements independently, covering assurance and advisory work from planning through to final reporting. Business process understanding, key control identification, and risk assessment all happen during planning, with risk based audit plans and Risk Control Matrices developed against internal audit methodology. Regulations such as FSA and frameworks including IFRS, COSO, and eTOM get identified as criteria for each engagement before fieldwork begins. Fieldwork covers walkthroughs, control testing, data analysis, and evidence validation, with control deficiencies, risk exposures, and process improvement opportunities identified along the way. Root cause analysis runs through every finding, evaluating business impact while maintaining professional skepticism and independence throughout execution. Audit reports get written clearly and risk focused, documenting condition, criteria, cause, and impact alongside practical, actionable recommendations discussed directly with management. Working papers get maintained within the Audit Management System, kept complete and well structured enough to withstand QAIP reviews and internal or external quality assessments.
