The Senior Sales Director (Data & Research Solutions) role at S&P Global Market Intelligence based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is responsible for promoting and consultatively selling a portfolio of data, research, and market intelligence products to existing and prospective customers across a defined territory in Saudi Arabia. The role operates within the financial data and market intelligence sector and focuses on serving a wide range of client segments including Commercial Lending, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Investment Management, and Corporations. The position plays a critical role in driving business generation and revenue growth by understanding client business models, identifying customer needs, and delivering tailored solutions leveraging S&P Global Market Intelligence data, technology platforms, and research products. The Sales Director is expected to develop and execute strategic sales initiatives while maintaining a disciplined pipeline and systems-based workflow using Salesforce.com for opportunity management and sales tracking. The role requires close collaboration with internal subject matter experts to position the firm’s suite of services effectively and to craft solutions that address complex client challenges within the financial services ecosystem. Responsibilities include securing executed client contracts and coordinating the onboarding and transition of new clients to the Relationship Management team, while maintaining strong engagement with prospects and existing customers. The position also requires developing industry-specific knowledge to enable credible diagnostic discussions with senior client stakeholders, including C-Level executives, through both in-person meetings and phone-based interactions such as cold calling. The Sales Director must stay informed about industry news, trends, and developments within financial services sectors to identify new business opportunities and potential market demand for S&P Global Market Intelligence solutions. The role is restricted to KSA Nationals and requires fluency in Arabic and English. S&P Global Market Intelligence operates as a division of S&P Global delivering advanced data, analytics, and technology-driven market intelligence solutions that support decision-making across global financial markets and corporate sectors.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to promote and sell S&P Global Market Intelligence data and research products across a defined territory in Saudi Arabia targeting Commercial Lending, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Investment Management, and corporate clients.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the company’s suite of services and collaborate with internal subject matter experts to position tailored client solutions that address specific business challenges using market intelligence products and technology tools.
- Maintain a disciplined approach to daily sales operations by managing opportunity pipelines and sales workflows within Salesforce.com to track activities, prospects, and deal progression.
- Identify new business opportunities by monitoring industry news, financial services trends, and market developments to determine their impact on current prospects and potential customers.
- Secure executed client contracts through negotiation and solution selling while coordinating the transition of newly acquired clients to the Relationship Management team for ongoing account management.
- Engage in consultative sales conversations with senior stakeholders including C-Level executives through cold calling, in-person meetings, and direct client engagement to identify business needs and position relevant solutions.
- Develop industry-specific expertise across financial services sectors including Commercial Lending, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Investment Management, and corporate markets to conduct credible diagnostic discussions with prospects and clients.
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate a minimum of 6+ years of experience in sales or business development with a focus on consultative sales and solution selling.
- Possess proven experience negotiating and closing complex deals through structured contract negotiation and enterprise sales engagements.
- Exhibit knowledge and experience within the financial services industry including sectors such as Commercial Lending, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Investment Management, and corporate financial markets.
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience relevant to enterprise sales, financial services, or business development.
- Maintain fluency in both Arabic and English to support client engagement across Saudi Arabia.
- Demonstrate a strong track record in consultative sales and solution-based selling of enterprise data, research, or market intelligence products.
- Perform outbound prospecting activities including cold calling and direct engagement with C-Level executives both over the phone and in person to build relationships and generate new business opportunities.
