Job description
The People Ops & Culture Specialist at AstroLabs is responsible for operational excellence, compliance, and employee experience within the Saudi Arabia office. Acting as the backbone of HR operations, the specialist manages employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS data management, and benefits administration, ensuring full compliance with Saudi labor regulations and government portals. The role also champions company culture, leading engagement initiatives, events, and recognition programs to strengthen employee belonging and reinforce AstroLabsā values. This position requires a balance of regulatory rigor, operational ownership, and culture advocacy to maintain an efficient, compliant, and positive workplace environment.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Manage Saudi government portals (GOSI, Qiwa, Mudad, Muqeem) with full compliance and timely submissions
- Monitor labor law updates and ensure company compliance
- Handle onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth, compliant employee transitions
- Serve as first point of contact for employee queries and concerns, supporting conflict resolution and employee relations
- Maintain accurate HRIS records and employee lifecycle data
- Manage employee medical insurance, benefits enrollment, renewals, and claims support
- Track and manage company assets including laptops, SIM cards, and equipment
- Design and coordinate culture-building initiatives, engagement activities, and recognition programs
- Support employee experience initiatives to enhance engagement and retention
- Collaborate with managers and People Team to maintain strong, trusted relationships
Experience & skills
- 3+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Administration, or HR Compliance
- Experience managing Saudi government portals and labor compliance
- Strong understanding of KSA labor law and HR best practices
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Passionate about employee culture and engagement
- Trustworthy and discreet with sensitive information
- Solutions-oriented, proactive, and able to navigate compliance requirements
