Job description
The Senior Relationship Manager – Liabilities at First Abu Dhabi Bank is responsible for acquiring new high-value clients, expanding the bank’s liability book, and increasing revenue by enhancing existing relationships. The role involves understanding client requirements, cross-selling and upselling bank products, structuring pricing for GM and cash products, and establishing a competitive customer-focused approach. Risk management duties include timely KYC updates, credit application preparation, analysis of financial statements, early warning detection of unsatisfactory account conduct, assessment of financial and business risks, monitoring money laundering activities, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The manager also oversees profitability and expense control by maximizing utilization of limits and monitoring revenues. High-quality customer service, operational adherence, and collaboration with internal units to ensure service standards are essential. Leadership responsibilities include driving high-performance culture, team development, and performance management.

- Acquire new-to-bank high-value clients and enhance existing client relationships to increase liability book and revenue
- Engage with clients to understand banking requirements and improve service delivery
- Cross-sell and upsell bank products and services to maximize revenue
- Structure pricing of GM and Cash products in accordance with client needs
- Provide accurate and timely information to clients regarding bank products and benefits
- Source new business from prospects and follow up on sales leads
- Coordinate with product managers and specialists to promote bank products
- Update KYC records in a timely manner
- Prepare and analyze credit applications, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory framework
- Recognize early warning signals and manage past due loans
- Assess financial and business risks of lending to clients and recommend appropriate credit limits
- Monitor portfolio profitability and ensure effective utilization of limits
- Ensure adherence to bank policies and internal procedures to mitigate operational risks
- Monitor FX and Trade revenues using EDW Dashboard
- Provide high-quality customer service and maintain operational standards
- Collaborate with internal departments to manage compliance, credit, and operational risk
- Respond to internal audit reports and facilitate remedial actions
