Job description
The Events Executive is responsible for the success of the meeting, catering, and event segment of the hotel. This role includes securing business, planning meetings/events, coordinating with hotel operations and clients before, during, and after each event. The Events Executive acts as a one-stop shop for clients for detailed event planning, working closely with banquet operations, food & beverage management, rooms division operations, finance, and external suppliers. The role involves optimizing hotel revenue through strategic yield management and up-selling hotel facilities and services, conducting site inspections, client entertainment, and familiarization, and managing all client correspondence including proposals, confirmation letters, amendments, and agreements.

Key responsibilities
- Sell off-site events and locations to secure new business
- Handle all meetings and catering enquiries according to standard procedures
- Act as a primary contact for clients, coordinating detailed event planning with banquet operations, food & beverage management, rooms division operations, finance, and external suppliers
- Optimize hotel revenue through strategic yield management and up-selling hotel facilities and services
- Work closely with the Area Sales MICE Team to achieve monthly sales targets
- Conduct site inspections, client entertainment, and familiarization tours
- Send all correspondence to clients regarding banquet events, including proposals, confirmation or agreement letters, and amendments
Experience & skills
- Possess a degree in hospitality or a related field
- Previous experience in catering sales within a hotel environment
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Computer literate; experience with Opera PMS is an advantage
- Customer-driven with proactive, focused, and approachable personality
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork, planning, and organizational skills with goal-oriented work philosophy
