Job description
QatarEnergy is looking for someone to own enterprise risk management across the full Group, covering every company under its umbrella. Owning the ERM framework means building it, running it day to day and continuously refining it as the business changes. You'll give leadership the assurance that risk management is genuinely applied group-wide, not just written into policy documents. Identifying risks that could affect QatarEnergy's business goals and objectives sits at the center of the role. Where risks are found, mitigation actions need to be put in place and tracked until exposure sits at a tolerable level. Fifteen or more years in a compliance or governance role within oil, gas or a related process industry such as refining, petrochemicals or chemicals is expected, with at least five of those years spent specifically in enterprise risk management. A university degree in a scientific, engineering or economic and financial subject is required, ideally at postgraduate level or paired with a relevant internationally recognised professional qualification. Expect regular engagement with senior leadership and risk owners across Group companies to keep the framework consistent and understood at every level.

- Review and refine risk policies and procedures as the business and its operating environment evolve
- Support senior leadership with risk-related reporting and decision-making input
- Align QatarEnergy's ERM practices with recognised governance and risk standards
Experience & skills
- Bring a minimum of 15 years of professional experience in a compliance or governance role within oil, gas or a related process industry such as refining, petrochemicals or chemicals
