Job description
A privately owned international food and agriculture group is going through significant organisational transformation, and this HR Director role sits at the heart of that change, partnering directly with senior leadership and the board on people strategy, organisational effectiveness and governance. Professionalising the HR function across multiple countries is the central task, moving it from where it stands today to a scalable, well governed operation. You will design and implement HR policies, processes, systems and operating models built to work at group scale. Job grading, compensation frameworks and performance management processes all need establishing from the ground up. Workforce planning, succession planning and leadership development initiatives sit alongside organisational change, integration projects and culture building programmes. Talent acquisition strategies get managed for both regional and international hiring needs, while a geographically dispersed HR team reports into this role along with responsibility for reporting, controls and people analytics. Local business requirements and group wide HR standards need aligning constantly, and this position acts as a trusted advisor across a stakeholder environment that balances entrepreneurial instincts with corporate discipline. Regional travel comes with the territory, and there is a real path from this role into a future CHRO level mandate.
