Job description
ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 set the framework for the health, safety and environmental work this HSE Officer carries out at National Aluminum Products Co. in Muscat. The plant is a large aluminium extrusion operation, so workplace safety needs constant monitoring and hazards need spotting early. Risk assessments lead to corrective actions, and incidents are investigated with preventive measures following. Training and awareness programmes help keep the workforce informed. Fire drills and other emergency response activities are coordinated by you. HSE records, reports and incident documentation must stay accurate. Safety data is collected and analysed to improve performance over time, and external authorities are a regular point of contact. Candidates need a Diploma or Bachelor's in Occupational Health & Safety or Engineering and 3 to 5 years of HSE experience, ideally in manufacturing. NEBOSH, OSHA or equivalent certification and proficiency in Arabic and English are required.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards across the plant
- Monitor workplace safety and identify potential hazards
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions

Experience & skills
- Hold a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or a related field
- Bring a minimum of 3 to 5 years of HSE experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Possess NEBOSH, OSHA or equivalent certification
- Apply knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Demonstrate strong hazard identification, risk assessment and accident investigation skills
- Deliver training and coaching effectively
- Speak, read and write Arabic and English proficiently
