Job description
The Inventory Control and Quality Assurance Area Manager (ICQA) for DXB3 at Souq.com FZ LLC (Amazon) is responsible for leading inventory control and quality assurance operations within a high-volume fulfillment center environment in Dubai. The role operates at the core of Amazonās logistics and supply chain network, ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and adherence to strict compliance standards including SOX regulations. The ICQA Area Manager leads and supervises hourly associates responsible for inventory control, cycle counts, and quality assurance processes while ensuring safety compliance and operational excellence across shifts. The position involves coordinating inventory maintenance activities, conducting random counts, analyzing inventory discrepancies, and identifying root causes of deviations through structured data analysis and cause-and-effect methodologies. The role is responsible for measuring inventory integrity and quality performance, reviewing customer complaints, and developing corrective action plans to reduce future defects. Additionally, the manager oversees shift planning, workforce allocation, forecasting, and performance management while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. The role supports Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies to optimize fulfillment center performance and reduce errors. It also includes coaching, performance appraisal, and development of team members to ensure high productivity and low turnover. The ICQA Area Manager plays a critical role in supporting Amazonās customer obsession philosophy by ensuring accurate inventory flow, high-quality operations, and efficient fulfillment processes in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise ICQA hourly associates to ensure accurate inventory control, quality assurance, and compliance within the fulfillment center
- Coordinate inventory control activities including cycle counts, random counts, and inventory maintenance in compliance with SOX requirements
- Monitor inventory accuracy, integrity, and quality performance while providing feedback to operations management teams
- Conduct shift planning, forecasting, and workforce allocation to ensure efficient fulfillment center operations
- Perform root cause analysis on inventory deviations using cause-and-effect methodologies to identify and resolve issues
- Analyze customer complaints and defect data to develop corrective action plans and reduce future operational errors
- Drive process improvement initiatives and implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency
- Appraise team performance, provide coaching, and support employee development to improve productivity and reduce turnover
Experience & skills
- Possess Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent supply chain experience (3+ years minimum)
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail in inventory and operations environments
- Demonstrate experience in team leadership and workforce management within logistics or fulfillment operations
- Demonstrate knowledge of inventory control systems and quality assurance processes
- Demonstrate familiarity with SQL Server or MySQL for data analysis (preferred)
- Demonstrate understanding of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies (preferred)
- Demonstrate experience in supply chain, production, or fulfillment center operations
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to lead and influence teams in fast-paced environments
