Job description
Banking and insurance audits in PwC's Core Assurance team call for solid IFRS 9 and IFRS 17 knowledge, applied under ISAs and financial services regulations. This Senior Associate works across Abu Dhabi and Dubai on engagements from planning through completion. Client financial statements are analysed for compliance, internal controls tested and records examined alongside tangible items such as plant and equipment. Engagement procedures are designed around risk and materiality, informed by industry research done before fieldwork starts. Managers and Partners get timely updates on risks, issues and variances in time and budget. External file completion sits fully with you, as does analysis of engagement economics for yourself and field staff. Associates depend on your review, on-job training and constructive feedback. Risk, quality and independence requirements apply throughout, and digital upskilling and business development are encouraged. Candidates bring progressive Senior Associate experience in a Big 4 firm and a qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACA or CPA completed or in progress, with Banking or Insurance audit experience and bilingual Arabic and English as assets.
