Job description
KBR is hiring a Program Director in Abu Dhabi to lead a major PMC assignment overseeing large-scale power and water transmission projects. This strategic role includes managing EPC contractors, multiple supervision consultants, and collaborating with stakeholders including regulatory bodies. The Program Director is responsible for full project lifecycle oversightâfrom strategic planning and budgeting to engineering review, risk mitigation, and execution. The role requires strong leadership, EPC expertise, and a track record of successful delivery in infrastructure megaprojects.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall planning, execution, and delivery of the program
- Coordinate with clients, supervision consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulators
- Oversee the creation and execution of project schedules, plans, and budgets
- Provide direction to ensure safety, quality, and performance excellence
- Monitor progress, performance, and initiate corrective actions when needed
- Prepare and deliver progress reports covering milestones, risks, and commercial status
- Implement risk management strategies to address potential project disruptions
- Review engineering designs for constructability and compliance with standards
- Mentor and guide project team members to support professional development
- Maintain client and stakeholder engagement and resolve escalated concerns
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in engineering or related field; Masterâs preferred
- 20+ years of experience leading complex infrastructure/EPC projects
- Extensive experience in power and water distribution programs
- Proven leadership in similar large-scale program management roles
- Proficiency in project scheduling and resource planning tools
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering standards
- Expertise in regulatory compliance and stakeholder coordination
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Proactive approach to risk management and problem-solving
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure, multi-priority environment
