Job description
The Senior Officer β Inventory Management role is responsible for managing day-to-day airline inventory activities across assigned markets with the objective of maximizing network revenue through the application of Revenue Management strategies. The position works closely with Pricing, Demand, Commercial, Sales, Network Planning, and Airport Operations teams to ensure optimal seat allocation, overbooking strategies, and demand forecasting. The role involves validating system-generated inventory recommendations, applying cabin-level overbooking strategies based on show-up rates and cancellation trends, analyzing booking patterns, POS-OD demand mixes, and competitor movements, and adjusting demand forecasts to reflect market conditions. The position supports new route launches and frequency additions through forecast sponsorship, tracks forecast accuracy and system health, monitors key commercial KPIs such as RASK, yield, seat factor, average fare, and market share, and leverages analytical tools such as Power BI and MicroStrategy. The role also requires compliance with Information Security Requirements (ISR) policies and participation in ISR awareness programs as part of daily airline commercial operations.

- Manage and validate system-generated inventory recommendations to ensure optimal seat allocation across assigned markets
- Apply cabin-level overbooking strategies by analyzing show-up rates, historical booking patterns, and cancellation trends
- Analyze booking trends, market dynamics, and POS-OD mixes to support data-driven inventory decisions
- Evaluate aircraft capacity and configuration requirements and provide recommendations to Network Planning and Operations teams
- Coordinate with Airport Operations to proactively manage overbooked flights and minimize denied boardings
- Monitor demand shifts, booking behavior, and competitor movements to align inventory and pricing strategies
- Perform post-departure flight analysis to assess inventory decision effectiveness and refine strategies
- Interpret and adjust system-generated demand forecasts using manual inputs where required
- Analyze multi-dimensional POS-OD demand trends and share insights with Revenue Management stakeholders
- Track holiday and special event demand and ensure timely system input adjustments
- Sponsor and configure demand forecasts for new route launches and frequency increases
- Monitor forecast accuracy and system performance and provide feedback for forecasting model improvements
- Track and analyze commercial KPIs including RASK, yield, seat factor, average fare, and market share
- Collaborate with Pricing, Demand, Commercial, Sales, Network Planning, and Airport Operations teams for strategic alignment
- Utilize analytical dashboards and reporting tools such as Power BI and MicroStrategy for decision-making and exception reporting
- Comply with company Information Security Requirements (ISR) policies and report security incidents as required
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorβs degree, preferably in aviation management, mathematics, economics, or business management
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in airline commercial operations or a related field
- Demonstrate experience in airline inventory management and revenue management functions
- Be fluent in English
