Job description
The PMIS Specialist role at Egis in Riyadh is a mid-senior level position responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing Program Management Information Systems (PMIS) across a large-scale portfolio of infrastructure and engineering projects. The role operates within the Project Controls team and focuses on supporting the implementation of SAP-based project management platforms, specifically SAP Project Systems (PS) and SAP Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM). The specialist acts as the client-side technical lead during system implementation, ensuring the PMIS solution aligns with project controls requirements, reporting standards, and organizational objectives. The role involves coordinating with implementation partners, defining workflows, managing system integrations, and ensuring successful rollout and adoption across the organization. The PMIS Specialist is responsible for managing large datasets, ensuring data integrity, and developing governance standards for reporting and analytics. The role also includes designing dashboards using Power BI, building automated reporting workflows, and supporting project controls activities such as cost management, scheduling, earned value management, and risk tracking. Additionally, the specialist provides training and technical support to stakeholders, ensuring consistent system usage and adoption. The position requires strong technical expertise in SAP, data analytics, and project controls, along with the ability to manage complex implementation projects and support enterprise-level portfolio management environments.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Act as the client-side technical lead during PMIS implementation ensuring alignment with project controls and reporting requirements
- Coordinate with implementation partners to define workflows, data structures, reporting templates, and system integrations
- Monitor system implementation progress, track milestones, and manage risks related to rollout activities
- Lead phased rollout and adoption of PMIS across the portfolio management organization
- Manage large datasets ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across reporting cycles
- Develop PMIS standards, documentation, procedures, and data governance frameworks
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports using SAP data sources
- Provide technical support, training, and guidance to end users and stakeholders across project teams
- Support project controls activities including cost management, schedule tracking, and earned value analysis
- Automate reporting processes and improve data analytics capabilities across projects
Experience & skills
- 9 to 15 years of experience in PMIS, project controls, or enterprise project management systems
- Strong expertise in SAP Project Systems (PS) and SAP EPPM or similar enterprise platforms
- Advanced Power BI skills including data modeling, dashboard design, and reporting automation
- Strong SQL skills for database querying, data management, and analytics
- Experience managing large datasets and enterprise-level reporting systems
- Solid understanding of project controls including cost, schedule, risk, and earned value management
- Experience working in PMO or PMC environments within infrastructure or engineering projects
- Strong communication skills in English, Arabic preferred
- Ability to manage system implementations and coordinate with technical stakeholders
