Job description
Four days in the office and one remote is the standard rhythm here, but the real test of this Associate Manager, International Payroll role comes between the 15th and 25th of each month, when the payroll cycle demands full attention and, at times, extra hours. You take ownership of end to end payroll delivery across a UAE population of around 7,500 employees alongside international offices spanning locations such as Singapore, Shanghai, Korea, Switzerland, Guinea and the USA. Monthly payroll processing, technical checks, reconciliations and variance analysis all sit inside your remit, backed by close attention to SAP master data integrity. Payroll accounting activities and the relevant payroll general ledger accounts fall under your ownership, alongside controls, governance and reporting for the wider group. Third party payroll providers get coordinated directly wherever processing is outsourced, and employee and employer tax deductions are recorded accurately in line with local legislation. Discrepancies and potential errors in payroll calculations get identified and resolved before they become bigger problems. One direct report looks to you for technical guidance, workload management and development support. This is a hands on seat, not one where payroll gets managed only from a distance, and the client wants someone who stays personally involved in reviewing calculations and technical outputs.
