Job description
BytePlus, a division of ByteDance, is seeking a Solutions Architect based in Riyadh to join its innovative team. This role involves partnering with regional sales teams to design and deliver technical solutions that address client needs, drive business outcomes, and support product market fit initiatives. The Solutions Architect will manage the technical client engagement lifecycle, collaborate closely with product teams to shape future offerings, deliver demos and workshops, and drive adoption of cloud and AI/ML technologies across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. A fast-paced startup environment mindset and strategic thinking are crucial for success.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Partner with regional Sales Teams to qualify leads, identify client pain points, and create technical solutions.
- Lead enterprise client engagement lifecycle end-to-end from pre-sales solutioning to project implementation.
- Conduct demos, presentations, RFI/RFP responses, architecture design workshops, and POC deliveries.
- Act as a trusted advisor, collaborating with multiple product teams and articulating feature requests for roadmap development.
- Provide thought leadership and industry knowledge across multiple cloud and ML products.
- Work closely with product teams to close Product Market Fit gaps and drive product iterations.
- Maintain post-sales solution support and drive upsell/cross-sell with Account Executives.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree with strong business acumen (Computer Science or Engineering preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience in cloud computing or related technology ecosystems.
- Strong regional experience across the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills demonstrated through past projects.
- Good understanding of cloud-native applications and big data technologies.
- Experience working with large enterprise clients in ecommerce, retail, media, entertainment, or gaming sectors.
- Experience in AI/ML, video cloud, edge computing, and cloud computing solution architecture.
- Deep understanding of Public Cloud use cases including CDN, WAF, DDoS protection, livestream solutions, RTC, VOD, ML Recommend, computer vision, NLP, and generative AI.
