Job description
The Assistant Relationship Manager in CBD’s Corporate Banking team is responsible for managing and growing an assigned portfolio of corporate clients, supporting senior relationship managers, and contributing to the bank’s business development initiatives. This role combines relationship management, credit structuring, and market insight to deliver high-quality client service and business growth.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and maintain an assigned portfolio of corporate clients to retain and grow banking relationships.
- Support Relationship Managers in daily client activities and account management.
- Identify, solicit, and acquire new corporate clients in line with approved strategies for assets, liabilities, trade, and treasury sales.
- Structure credit lines in accordance with the Bank’s underwriting standards and risk targets.
- Conduct regular client visits for monitoring and business generation.
- Coordinate with Client Service Team to cross-sell additional products and services to corporate clients.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of credit administration, annual reviews, and monitoring of financials and covenants.
- Comply with internal audit requirements and maintain high standards of process uniformity.
- Develop a network of local contacts within the business and financial community to identify growth opportunities.
- Contribute to corporate business strategy planning and market analysis.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Management, or equivalent.
- Professional qualifications such as CA or CFA are advantageous.
- 3–5 years of corporate banking experience with at least 2 years in the UAE.
- Exposure to one or more emerging markets is preferred.
- Strong client relationship and portfolio management skills.
- Proficiency in credit analysis, structuring, and financial assessment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of UAE banking regulations and corporate finance practices.
- Ability to identify business opportunities and contribute to strategic planning.
