Job description
Based in Doha, the HR Generalist (Qatarization) for Qatar Airways provides comprehensive HR support across multiple divisions, contributing to the design and implementation of HR strategies covering recruitment, organizational design, retention, rewards, and employee engagement. The role acts as a key advisor to line managers, ensuring policy compliance, effective performance management, and alignment with HR best practices. The position also focuses on promoting national development initiatives under Qatarization objectives, maintaining strong communication channels across teams, and driving a culture of continuous improvement and employee empowerment within a global aviation leader.

Key responsibilities
- Provide HR consultancy and support to line managers on policy interpretation and implementation
- Collaborate with management to drive the HR agenda and execute agreed action plans
- Support recruitment, including job description development and approval workflows
- Manage HR documentation, employee changes, and non-recruitment salary adjustments
- Serve as the HR communication hub to ensure effective information flow and knowledge sharing
- Implement key HR policies including performance, disciplinary, and absence management
- Advise on performance evaluation and employee development planning
- Provide guidance on compensation, promotions, and transfers
- Facilitate training and coaching on HR and management best practices
- Conduct HR data analysis, prepare reports, and contribute to business support insights
- Maintain accurate department records and ensure easy retrieval for audits and internal reference
- Research and recommend HR best practices to enhance processes and policies
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification required
- Minimum 4 years of relevant HR experience in corporate or specialist roles
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Experience with HR processes such as case management, employee relations, and organizational design
- Advanced HR qualification or recognized accreditation preferred
- Knowledge of HR management theories and best practices
- Experience in employee relations and advisory functions
- Ability to engage, influence, and inspire stakeholders across all levels
- Creative and innovative problem-solver with a proactive mindset
