Job description
Execute operational activities for Oman Offshore Block 8 in alignment with MOGCâs production, safety, environmental, and quality standards. The Senior Operations Engineer is responsible for providing day-to-day operational support to ensure equipment availability and reliability across offshore facilities. This includes leading a multidisciplinary team and overseeing all operational activities. The role may involve working offshore, with transport via crew boats, vessels, or helicopters. The position aligns with corporate values, regulatory compliance, and best international practices.

Key responsibilities
- Manage all offshore field productions operations and facilities on HSSE perspective.
- Develop implement and maintain Business Management System for all production and maintenance related to offshore operations.
- Maintain the desired production levels from the field to meet the production targets.
- Prepare operating budgets as and when required.
- Manage operating expenditures of the field CPFâs in a responsible manner and in accordance with budget expectations.
- Efficiently manage Well Heads and maintain the Safe Operating Limits.
- Handle efficiently the Breakdowns and experience in getting the Wells and System Online.
- Handle efficiently the Asset Integrity Management Systems and conduct periodical review and provide Optimization.
- Effectively Manage the Pigging and ensure the Chemical Inhibitions dosage.
- Effectively maintain the Management of Change & Deviation register and prioritize the tasks.
- Coordinate with the subsurface Team and report for the process variations.
- Execute the Shutdown Jobs as scheduled and provide safe Operation.
- Maintain operational communication with MOGC, MGP, Government Bodies in Musandam, Suppliers and contractors.
- Prepare and quality control (QC) of daily production reports, weekly internal reports, and monthly reports to share and relevant governmental authorities.
- Develop and maintain an effective stock and spare parts inventory program for offshore field operation with the view of minimizing equipment downtime and operating costs.
- Develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program for field operations.
- Manage and maintain an effective manpower complement at the production facilities.
- Negotiate and prepare operational contracts, subcontracts, call offs and service orders.
- Recommend and implement plant modification for improved operation.
- Lead by example and support company goals and targets on occupational health, safety, security, and environment.
- Responsible and accountable to enforce and comply with Company HSE & Security Policies, procedures, and provision of adequate resources.
- Coordinate with the Project team for the Brown field developments and provide required support for Field Development.
- Ensure public, staff and contractorsâ safety by maintaining the functionality of HSE Management System and asset integrity of the company facilities.
- Stand-by / on-call duties when required.
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned on job requirement.

Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs in Mechanical Engineering, or related.
- 5 - 8 years of experience.
- Strong background in Mechanical, E&I engineering, Well and offshore Operations Management.
- Motivated general management strategist who relishes challenges.
- Experience in field development and facilities upgrade.
- Expertise in Major Maintenance, Asset Integrity and Supply Chain formalities.
- Understanding various risk profiles and handling HAZOP.
- Proficiency, or ability to become quickly proficient in Operations Management and Decision Space.
- Basic understanding of facility design and pipeline/infrastructure; maintenance would be considered an asset.
- Proficiency in preparing Production, Pigging, Weekly & Monthly Reports.
- Strong background in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE).
- Computer literate with expertise in MS Office.
- Hands-on experience at managerial level in Oil & Gas Operations.
- Experienced in resource control, contract management and general management.
- Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required), Arabic - Native (desirable).
