Job description
Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Information Protection, Endpoint Manager, SharePoint and the wider Office 365 stack all sit under this Microsoft Platform Lead at Bank ABC in Bahrain. The role sets the platform's strategic roadmap with senior stakeholders and the Cybersecurity team, so security is built into design and configuration from the start. Cloud migration is a key thread, planned and reported with the Group Head of IT Infrastructure. Day to day, you oversee Office 365 updates, test major changes before release, administer mobile device management and harden Windows Server systems against Information Security baselines. Outages and high severity problems need fast investigation, root cause analysis and clear incident reports. Infrastructure administrators and the Helpdesk team look to you for mentoring, and some infrastructure projects run under your management from start to finish. On-call cover is required, with 24x7 availability for IT and cyber incidents when needed. Expect to bring 5 to 7 years of hands-on Microsoft 365 experience across Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Viva and Power Platform, plus PowerShell and Azure Active Directory skills.
