Job description
Extruders and HYPER compressors in a polymer plant, along with steam turbines, MITSUBISHI centrifugal compressors and SIEMENS SGT600 gas turbines, are the machines this Jubail rotating engineer looks after. Chronic issues affecting equipment and plant availability land with you, and the expectation is to act as SME on troubleshooting, engineering and life assessment studies, including PK and bad actor elimination. Vibration signatures need reading with confidence, and third-party oil analysis reports should be challenged where the data does not support their conclusions. Reliability studies identify weak points and opportunities to raise productivity and availability. Major machine failures call for an RCA that you lead, backed by proven case experience. Fresh and Area Rotating Engineers and assigned technicians will look to you for first-line supervision and technical reference, and small teams on minor projects may also report to you. Routine and non-routine reports, along with input to work programmes and budgetary planning, complete the picture. CMRP, vibration analyst CAT level II (level III preferred) and MLA level II certificates are all mandatory. A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10 years in the oil and gas or petrochemical industries are required.
