Job description
Cigna Healthcare is seeking a Senior Account Manager to manage relationships with corporate clients across the Middle East and Africa. The role focuses on ensuring performance of assigned policies, delivering strategic plans, providing proactive advice to clients and brokers, and driving renewals to achieve business retention and profitability. The position requires strong client management skills, deep market knowledge, and the ability to balance client needs with business objectives.

Key responsibilities
- Work closely with existing clients to ensure needs are met and act as an ambassador for Cigna.
- Develop effective relationships with intermediaries retained by Cigna clients.
- Liaise with underwriters and other functions to construct proposals for renewals and products.
- Seek cross-sales opportunities and expand business with existing client base.
- Present proposals for existing and new business to clients and intermediaries.
- Collaborate with Legal Services and Marketing to produce client literature.
- Take ownership of personal development to improve knowledge and skills.
- Provide client and market feedback to business teams.
- Support development of Cignaâs product proposition.
- Re-install schemes at renewal professionally for smooth administration.
- Coordinate with Customer Services and Healthcare Services teams for service excellence.
- Adhere to contract terms, invoicing, deliverables, and profitability requirements.
- Secure references and testimonials from clients.
- Manage forecasts accurately and balance partner vs. business requirements.
- Ensure timely communication with management on relevant information.
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a Corporate Client Management role.
- Experience with Tier 1 and mid-market insurers/policies in Middle East and Africa preferred.
- Bachelorâs degree preferred, ideally in Marketing or Business.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with ability to influence outcomes.
- Confident public speaker and presenter.
- Experience managing jumbo corporate clients and projects.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and diverse cultures.
- Passion for health and wellbeing and customer centricity.
- Regional regulatory and market knowledge.
- Working knowledge of Agile Project Management, certification preferable.
- Technology savvy with advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Flexibility in working hours to manage clients across the region.
- Willingness to travel 10%â25%.
