Job description
First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is hiring a Relationship Manager for its Commercial Banking division under Personal, Wealth & Business Banking. The role focuses on acquiring new high-value clients, enhancing existing client relationships, and increasing the bank’s liability book and revenue. It requires strong engagement with clients, cross-selling opportunities, risk management, compliance adherence, and portfolio profitability monitoring. The Relationship Manager will also be responsible for preparing credit applications, financial analysis, and ensuring customer service excellence while managing risks in compliance with FAB policies.

Key responsibilities
- Acquire NTB high-value clients and enhance existing high-value relationships to increase liability book and revenue.
- Engage with clients to understand and improve their banking services.
- Cross sell and upsell bank’s products and services to maximize revenue.
- Negotiate pricing of GM and Cash products as per customer needs.
- Establish and maintain a working rapport with customers to identify their financial needs.
- Provide clients with timely information on products and benefits.
- Source new business and follow up on sales leads within target market segments.
- Plan client visits to introduce GTB and GM partners.
- Coordinate with product managers on promoting bank’s products.
- Update KYC records in a timely manner.
- Prepare and analyze Credit Applications (CA) for approvals and renewals.
- Recognize early warning signals of unsatisfactory account conduct and pursue overdue loan collection.
- Proactively manage assigned portfolio risk by ensuring timely renewal of accounts.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Cooperate with audit and risk management teams to address gaps and respond to reports.
- Monitor and mitigate money laundering activities.
- Ensure effective utilization of limits to maximize profitability.
- Regularly monitor MIS reports for FX and Trade revenues.
- Maintain high-quality customer service standards and coordinate with service units for client satisfaction.
Experience & skills
- University degree required; Postgraduate in Business Management or Business Administration preferred.
- Proven track record in driving high-performance culture and achieving customer and financial objectives.
- Sales management experience and ability to work as a team player.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
- Strong business assessment skills, particularly for complex structures with international dimension.
- Experience in leadership, performance management, and team development.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of general and business banking, including competitive landscape and SME propositions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to deliver presentations.
