Job description
UBS is looking for a Temenos Application Engineer to join their WMI Core Technology Division in Doha, Qatar. This role involves developing, supporting, and enhancing digital products and services within the Core Banking platform, specifically using Temenos T24 and TPH systems. The successful candidate will work in an agile, cross-functional team and contribute to the transformation of UBS into a more responsive and innovative organization. The engineer will also engage in DevOps activities, production health monitoring, incident resolution, and client advocacy.

Key responsibilities
- Develop, support and improve digital products and technology services for clients and employees
- Apply software engineering practices from user needs analysis to automated testing and deployment
- Ensure quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions
- Build observability into solutions and monitor production health
- Resolve incidents and remediate root causes of risks and issues
- Understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
- Share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to engineering culture and hiring
- Participate in WMI Core Technology team initiatives using Agile and DevOps methodologies
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās or Masterās degree in computer science or related field
- 6+ years of experience in core banking development or support roles
- Experience with T24 and/or TPH systems
- Knowledge of Java and ability to write code
- Working experience with Python is an advantage
- Familiarity with TAFJ, ORACLE, integration framework, DLM, and relational-replication
- Hands-on DevOps experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proactive team player capable of working independently
- Preparedness to take responsibility and initiative in project tasks
