Job description
Bank ABC's Group Audit team in Manama gives Executive Management and the Board, through the Audit Committee, an independent view on whether internal controls are working. This Auditor role covers Treasury & Financial Markets and Risk Management, including market, operational and regulatory risk and Balance Sheet Management. Each year starts with the risk assessment for these areas, which feeds into a risk-based Annual Audit Plan. From there, you plan the scope of individual assignments, carry out fieldwork, record work in the audit platform and agree findings and action plans with auditees. Reports are due within 125 calendar days of fieldwork starting, and assignments need to stay within man-day and travel budgets. Closure requests come back for validation within 30 days. Regular meetings with Bahrain-based business unit management keep you aware of new products and business changes, which then shape audit priorities. Expect to bring at least 4 years of internal or external audit experience, a professional qualification, fluent English and Arabic, and familiarity with workflow-based audit software such as B-Wise.
