Job description
The Associate - Global Energy & Materials will join a client service team to solve complex challenges in the chemical, energy, and materials sectors. The role involves owning a workstream to analyze chemical processes, production technologies, electric power, natural gas, and energy transition initiatives, providing actionable insights to clients. Associates will conduct research, analyze data, perform client interviews, brainstorm solutions, and support strategy development, operations, and supply chain analysis. They will contribute to decarbonization and sustainability projects, understand market structures, regulatory frameworks, and industry innovation trends. The role demands strong problem-solving, logical reasoning, and leadership capabilities, with a focus on delivering enduring client impact and supporting continuous learning and capability building in a global, diverse consulting environment.

Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of a client workstream, analyzing challenges and generating actionable solutions in the chemical, energy, and materials sectors.
- Conduct research, analyze data, and perform interviews to uncover client problems and identify opportunities for value creation.
- Collaborate directly with clients and internal teams to refine strategies, implement transformations, and ensure solutions have lasting impact.
- Support projects related to energy systems, production technologies, operations, supply chain, and strategy development with sustainability and decarbonization focus.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, mentoring, and apprenticeship opportunities to accelerate professional growth.
- Deliver insights, recommendations, and presentations to clients, clearly communicating complex ideas and analyses.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM with an outstanding academic record.
- Strong expertise in chemical and energy sectors including processes, production technologies, electric power, natural gas, and energy transition.
- Experience in consulting or industry roles with knowledge of sustainability, decarbonization, innovation trends, market structures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in operations, supply chain, strategy, and energy systems analysis.
- Exceptional problem-solving, logical reasoning, and creative thinking abilities.
- Proven leadership experience in professional settings or extracurricular activities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and communicate complex ideas clearly in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
