Job description
Qiddiya City has no public health function yet, and this Riyadh-based director is hired to build one from the ground up. A five-year public health strategy comes first, backed by policies, standards, thresholds and intervention triggers that protect residents, employees, contractors and visitors. National health priorities and Ministry of Health requirements need translating into practical rules for the city. Disease surveillance systems across Qiddiya assets and contracted healthcare providers fall under your design, and you chair the outbreak control team when investigations are needed. Contact tracing, vaccination requirements, notifiable disease reporting and recommendations on closing venues during incidents are all part of the brief. Occupational health standards for employees, contractors and service providers also need setting, along with monitoring of contracted provider performance. Community health engagement covers the Qiddiya Life Saver Program, lay-responder initiatives and a Public Access Defibrillator network plan. Leading the public health team, managing budgets and representing Medical Operations with government authorities and healthcare providers complete the role. A Master of Public Health or equivalent and at least 10 years of post-qualification public health practice, including outbreak response and building a public health plan or program from the beginning, are required, along with working Arabic and English.
