Job description
The Warehouse and Yards Manager – Completions & Wellbore Intervention is responsible for leading and overseeing warehouse and yard operations to ensure efficient logistics execution and alignment with customer requirements. The role focuses on optimizing productivity, improving process quality, managing controllable expenses, and ensuring full compliance with EHS and logistics standards. The manager coordinates closely with project managers, global supply chain teams, logistics vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver seamless project execution. This position plays a critical role in strategic logistics planning, cost control initiatives, and ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient warehouse operations supporting completions and wellbore intervention activities.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee warehouse and yard operations to ensure customer requirements and project timelines are met.
- Coordinate communication between project managers, global supply chain teams, logistics vendors, and warehouse personnel.
- Drive strategic logistics planning for projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Manage warehouse productivity, process quality, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Control operational costs including contract labor spend and other controllable expenses.
- Ensure compliance with EHS standards, logistics procedures, and shipping, receiving, and purchasing processes.
- Supervise and provide scope of work to contract labor workforce within warehouse operations.
- Implement updated processes and guidelines from cross-functional departments.
- Manage inventory, assets, and yard equipment to ensure availability and operational readiness.
- Work within predefined contracts and frameworks while exercising sound judgment in decision-making.
- Engage with senior business stakeholders to communicate project approaches and present operational outcomes.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse and yard management.
- Experience in completions and wellbore intervention operations.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to execute tactically with urgency.
- Knowledge of logistics planning, supply chain coordination, and cost control practices.
- Understanding of EHS requirements within oil and gas operations.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage diverse clients within predefined contractual frameworks.
