Job description
Emirates Group is hiring a Materials Planning Officer within its Materials Management Department to ensure the availability of aircraft spares and components across its KSA and global network. This role involves planning, initial provisioning, replenishment, and inventory optimization of aircraft materials, including rotables, engines, cabin, IFE, consumables, and tooling. The officer will be responsible for supporting line and base maintenance, managing stock levels, and coordinating with procurement, engineering, workshops, and logistics teams to ensure operational readiness. The position also requires active involvement in AOG situations, inventory reviews, and ensuring compliance with stock planning parameters.

Key responsibilities
- Initiate and plan actions to ensure materials availability at agreed service levels.
- Review inventory and planning triggers, analyzing component/repairable failure rates to optimize stock levels.
- Carry out initial provisioning reviews for aircraft, engines, cabin/IFE/BFE, and commercial spares.
- Review Bill of Materials for planned maintenance work packages and arrange required materials and tooling.
- Conduct cycle counting and stocktaking of DXB and outstation stores to maintain accuracy.
- Handle AOG requirements at DXB and outstations, arranging spares via procurement, borrowing, or dispatch.
- Coordinate with logistics providers, suppliers, and engineering sections to ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor stock aging, slow-moving items, and surplus reviews to optimize inventory.
- Maintain compliance with material planning procedures for various aircraft categories.
- Support audits of inventory parameters such as reorder points, order quantities, lead times, and usage.
- Assist in technical data collection and alternate parts advice procedure within Ultramain.
- Track and improve KPIs related to AOGs, shortages, SLAs, deferred defects, and cycle times.
Experience & skills
- 12 years schooling or equivalent (Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred).
- More than 5 years of experience in Engineering, Materials & Stores within airline or MRO environments.
- Knowledge of aircraft components, systems, and ERP inventory management systems (Ultramain preferred).
- Experience in supply chain functions such as warehouse, logistics, repairs management, material planning, and inventory control.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical documentation.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Experience handling AOG situations and supporting global operations.
