Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality science education to Upper High School students.
- Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with IB (MYP/DP) or NCofE standards.
- Use data to improve instruction and track student progress.
- Collaborate with departmental colleagues on curriculum and assessment design.
- Provide personalized academic support and mentorship to students.
- Engage in continuous professional development and IB training.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and community events.
- Promote the values of the IB Learner Profile in the classroom.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor of Education degree or a relevant undergraduate degree with PGCE/PGDE.
- Advanced qualifications preferred but not essential.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at secondary/high school level.
- Experience with IB MYP/DP or NCofE curriculum preferred.
- Strong grasp of inquiry-based teaching and assessment strategies.
- Passion for teaching in a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
- Alignment with the philosophy and standards of an IB World School.
- Availability to start in August 2025.
