Job description
The Senior Manager - Quality Assurance is responsible for leading QA operations at Julphar's ST and NST Plants, ensuring audit readiness and full compliance with cGMP standards. The role includes managing IPC teams and sampling operations, overseeing deviation and CAPA management, and investigating market complaints and out-of-specification (OOS) results. The incumbent will provide impact assessments for change controls, ensure quality incidents are handled per Julphar QMS and regulatory requirements, and coordinate quality improvement initiatives across departments. The role also involves KPI reporting, embedding a quality mindset in operational environments, mentoring successors, and training cross-functional teams to uphold product and process knowledge. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical quality systems such as Agile, TrackWise, and Amplelogic, along with strong leadership, decision-making, and risk assessment capabilities.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Lead site QA operations ensuring audit readiness and cGMP compliance
- Manage IPC team and sampling procedures for ST and NST Plants
- Develop SME standards for deviations and CAPA management
- Oversee deviation handling for both ST and NST Plants
- Investigate market complaints and OOS issues from a QA perspective
- Assess and provide timely input on change control impacts
- Review and approve CAPAs for ST and NST Plants
- Ensure quality incidents are managed in line with Julphar QMS and regulations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvements
- Report QA operations KPIs for ST and NST Plants
- Promote continuous improvement and embed a quality mindset within operations
- Identify and train successors while coaching other team members
- Ensure operations staff possess adequate product and process knowledge
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or Pharmacy
- 10 to 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong knowledge of QMS systems including Agile, TrackWise, and Amplelogic
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills
- Strong command of cGMP requirements and risk assessment methodologies
- Ability to make quality and business decisions independently
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
