Job description
The Business Systems Analyst at Al Tamimi & Company plays a vital role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This professional will engage with stakeholders across various departments to identify operational requirements, streamline processes, and optimize the use of IT systems to drive business efficiency. By applying strong analytical skills and leveraging both business acumen and technical expertise, the analyst will define system enhancements, oversee requirement specifications, and ensure successful implementation of technology-driven business solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of system integration, legal industry business processes, and data governance. The analyst will be instrumental in maintaining the quality and accuracy of firm-wide data, helping improve service delivery, compliance, and the return on IT investments.

Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
- Identify stakeholders and gather requirements using various techniques including workshops, surveys, and interviews.
- Develop strategies to enhance the efficiency of requirements-gathering processes.
- Analyze requirements for completeness, consistency, and feasibility.
- Evaluate existing software configurations to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Translate user requirements into functional specifications and technical documentation.
- Develop interface prototypes and process models to guide development teams.
- Conduct peer reviews and interpret requirements for stakeholders.
- Track requirement status and manage changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate modifications and solutions to stakeholders and project teams.
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support for business systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality across the organization.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Industrial Engineering is a plus).
- Minimum 5ā7 years of experience in a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst role.
- Experience with SQL scripting for querying databases and building reports.
- Strong experience in drafting business and functional requirement documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Power BI, Power Apps, and Document Management Systems.
- Understanding of legal business operations and exposure to legal technology solutions.
- Experience in LEAN or Six Sigma process improvement methodologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of ERP and CRM platforms, including configuration and optimization.
- Familiarity with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tools and process automation initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills applied to technical systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy in documentation and system modeling.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring junior analysts or technical staff is an advantage.
