Job description
The Store Manager at Sephora in Dubai, UAE, leads the store team to deliver exceptional client experiences while achieving operational and commercial objectives within the luxury beauty retail environment. The role is responsible for embodying the Sephora Attitude, setting an example for the team, and ensuring client satisfaction through coaching, training, and floor leadership. The Store Manager oversees sales performance, operational excellence, and business growth, including analyzing KPIs, implementing improvement plans, managing stock and merchandising, and coordinating in-store promotional events. This role emphasizes people development, motivating and mentoring the team, managing training programs, and facilitating performance assessments and succession planning. The Store Manager acts as a key liaison between internal stakeholders (store team and head office) and external stakeholders (suppliers, brand managers, and service teams). The position requires expertise in digital tools, advanced product knowledge, and operational procedures while ensuring a culture of empowerment, learning, and innovation, in alignment with Sephora’s mission of delivering inclusive and inspiring beauty experiences.

Key responsibilities
- Embody Sephora Attitude and set a leading example for the store team, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure client satisfaction and achievement of commercial and operational KPIs.
- Lead floor operations, energize the team through effective floor management, and oversee daily store activities including product restocking, merchandising, and ensuring a clean and inviting environment.
- Drive sales by motivating the team to achieve targets across selective, exclusive, and Sephora Collection brands, monitoring results, and implementing improvement action plans.
- Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures for products, pricing, merchandising, and partner coordination, ensuring compliance and smooth store operations.
- Manage business KPIs, perform market analysis, and propose short- and long-term strategies to drive top-line and bottom-line sales while providing insights to head office and category management.
- Develop, coach, and manage the store team through daily observations, feedback, training, and succession planning, ensuring continuous development and high-performing culture.
- Coordinate and support in-store promotional events, visual merchandising, and special initiatives to maximize client engagement and product performance.
- Monitor staff attendance, manage leave schedules, and oversee performance review processes (PCR and PIP) in collaboration with the Area Manager to ensure operational efficiency and team motivation.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience of 5–6 years in store management within luxury or premium retail.
- Advanced English proficiency (for OGCC), intermediate for KSA; Arabic is a plus for OGCC and mandatory for KSA.
- Strong commercial awareness, business acumen, and ability to analyze sales and operational KPIs.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and manage a high-performing retail team.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and digital orientation to leverage tools for operational and sales performance.
- Advanced product knowledge across luxury beauty categories including makeup, skincare, hair care, and fragrances.
- Ability to handle ambiguity, motivate teams, and maintain high standards of client experience and operational excellence.
- Experience in planning and executing in-store events, promotions, and merchandising initiatives.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
