Job description
The IT Director at Visioneers in Dubai is responsible for leading and overseeing all IT operations, infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives across multiple group entities. The role encompasses strategic leadership, including defining IT strategy aligned with business objectives and advising senior management on emerging technologies. Operational responsibilities include management of enterprise IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, firewalls, UPS, NAS), administration of Google Workspace, Office 365, and Active Directory, as well as overseeing Wi-Fi, IP telephony, CCTV, access control, and biometric systems. The IT Director manages vendor selection, contract negotiations, IT budgeting, procurement, and asset lifecycle management. Cybersecurity and compliance responsibilities involve establishing IT policies, implementing security tools, and ensuring data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity. The role also oversees cloud environments, application management including Oracle Fusion deployment and integrations, and end-user IT support to ensure smooth daily operations. Strong leadership, project management, decision-making, and communication skills are required, with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and group-wide IT excellence.

- Define and execute IT strategy in alignment with business objectives and report directly to the COO
- Provide leadership and mentorship to IT team members, fostering accountability and innovation
- Advise senior management on emerging technologies and digital transformation opportunities
- Implement standardized IT governance and policies across all entities
- Oversee management and optimization of IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, firewalls, UPS, and NAS systems
- Administer Google Workspace, Office 365, Active Directory, Wi-Fi systems, IP telephony, CCTV, access control, and biometric attendance systems
- Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and monitor IT service provider performance
- Manage IT budgeting, cost optimization, procurement, subscriptions, licenses, and asset lifecycle
- Establish and enforce IT security policies, standards, and compliance frameworks
- Oversee deployment and management of security tools, backups, and disaster recovery systems
- Manage cloud environments and enterprise applications including Azure, web hosting, Oracle Fusion, DNS, and task management software
- Coordinate with vendors for software development, integrations, and enterprise applications
- Ensure end-user support for smooth daily operations including smart TVs, conferencing systems, and meeting room booking systems
- Drive continuous improvement of IT service delivery and user satisfaction
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in IT leadership roles
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, vendor management, and cybersecurity for large organizations
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT operations, networking, cloud services, and IT governance frameworks
- Experience managing IT budgets, procurement, and collaborating cross-functionally with finance and business teams
- Excellent leadership, project management, decision-making, and communication skills
