Job description
Responsible for supervising a portfolio of financial institutions under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) using a proactive risk-based supervisory approach. Executes supervisory plans, conducts risk assessments, reviews periodic reporting, and applies supervisory tools such as reviews and third-party assessments. Identifies deficiencies, non-compliance, and emerging risks, taking prompt corrective action while maintaining documentation aligned with internal policies. Coordinates with internal stakeholders including Authorisation and other FSRA groups, drafts supervisory recommendations, and supports enhancements to supervisory frameworks, policies, rules, and procedures. Builds and maintains relationships with market participants, contributes to regulatory projects, and supports knowledge-sharing within the Supervision team. Ensures adherence to information security practices while upholding integrity, confidentiality, and availability of ADGM information.

Key responsibilities
- Supervise financial institutions in line with the FSRA risk-based supervisory plan
- Apply supervisory tools including reviews, third-party reviews, and information requests
- Assist in periodic risk assessments and execute supervisory reviews with recommendations
- Review periodic reports and conduct implementation controls where deficiencies exist
- Identify non-compliance and take prompt action to address deficiencies
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across market participants and ADGM teams
- Implement policies, rules, procedures, and documentation for assigned institutions
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including Authorisation and FSRA groups
- Deliver delegated tasks and contribute to regulatory projects as required
- Provide support, expertise, and guidance to colleagues within the Supervision team
- Support team culture and collaboration within the Supervision Department
- Ensure adherence to all internal policies, procedures, standards, behaviours, and information security requirements
Experience & skills
- Minimum 8 years of experience in financial services supervision or related fields
- Strong knowledge of financial entities supervision, including sectors regulations; funds and asset management experience is an asset
- Experience assessing risks, identifying trends, and interpreting regulatory requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation abilities
- Demonstrated teamwork, responsibility, planning, organisation, and analytical skills
- Fluency in business English
- Professional qualification in finance, accounting, risk, or related field is desirable
- Industry experience in risk management, compliance, or internal audit is desirable
- Arabic proficiency and cultural understanding are preferred
