Job description
The Senior Manager β Control Room (Dry Utilities) is accountable for leading and overseeing 24/7 operations of the central control room responsible for monitoring and managing dry utility networks, including medium voltage and low voltage power distribution systems. The role ensures reliable service delivery, operational excellence, asset protection, and effective incident and emergency response across all dry utility infrastructure. The position requires deep technical expertise in power distribution and dry utilities, hands-on leadership in mission-critical control room environments, and advanced use of monitoring and incident management platforms such as SCADA, DCS, OMS, and GIS. The role also contributes to system reliability, automation, digital transformation initiatives, regulatory compliance, safety standards, asset lifecycle management, and coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders during outages, commissioning, expansions, and shutdown planning.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily 24/7 operations of the Dry Utilities Control Room in compliance with operational standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee real-time monitoring of power distribution and associated dry utility infrastructure
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures, emergency procedures, and escalation protocols
- Ensure continuous visibility of system performance using SCADA, DCS, OMS, GIS, and other monitoring platforms
- Analyze network trends, alarms, and events to optimize performance and mitigate operational risks
- Coordinate with field operations teams for rapid response to faults, outages, and maintenance requirements
- Lead incident command during outages, system failures, or emergencies affecting dry utility networks
- Coordinate incident response with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Ensure timely incident reporting, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
- Supervise control room operators, shift supervisors, analysts, and technical support personnel
- Develop training plans, competency assessments, and succession planning frameworks
- Promote a culture of situational awareness, safety, discipline, and continuous improvement
- Oversee preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports, KPIs, and compliance documentation
- Drive improvements in system reliability, automation, and operational workflows
- Contribute to strategic planning, asset lifecycle management, and digital transformation initiatives
- Serve as the primary liaison for dry utilities operational matters within the organization
- Support project teams during commissioning, network expansions, and shutdown planning
- Participate in coordination meetings related to network protection, customer complaints, and operational risk
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelorβs degree in Electrical Engineering
- Masterβs degree in a relevant field is preferred
- Possess a minimum of 8β10 years of experience in utility operations
- Have at least 5 years of experience in control room management or a senior supervisory role
- Demonstrate proven experience managing power distribution or other dry utilities networks
- Show experience working in 24/7 mission-critical operation centers
- Demonstrate strong understanding of dry utility systems including power distribution networks and cable routing
- Exhibit proficiency with SCADA, DCS, OMS, GIS, and incident management platforms
- Maintain solid knowledge of utility safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices
