Job description
Standard Chartered Bank is hiring an Executive Director / Director, Investor Sales in Dubai, UAE, to drive its Macro Sales strategy for institutional clients, particularly hedge funds, in the GCC region. The role will establish a new UAE hub for global hedge fund coverage while leveraging SCBās brand and capabilities across FX options, FX cash, interest rate derivatives, and local currency bond markets. The position requires managing institutional relationships, deepening dialogue with hedge funds, providing cross-asset solutions, and driving revenue growth in collaboration with trading, structuring, research, corporate and institutional coverage, and transaction banking teams. The role also involves risk management, regulatory compliance, and ensuring adherence to group policies while representing SCB in the UAE hedge fund community.

Key responsibilities
- Drive Macro Sales strategy for UAE institutional clients and develop SCBās presence as a hub for hedge fund coverage
- Build and deepen relationships with hedge funds and institutional investors across FX, rates, and credit markets
- Leverage existing hedge fund relationships to expand SCBās footprint and bind new client communities to the SCB brand
- Deliver product solutions across FX options, FX cash, interest rate derivatives, and local currency bonds
- Coordinate cross-asset and cross-border collaboration to maximize client service and returns
- Manage assigned account list to deliver minimum income targets and revenue growth
- Prospect new clients and secure business opportunities in alignment with SCBās product strategy
- Partner with trading, structuring, research, and coverage teams to deliver integrated market solutions
- Monitor utilization of client trading limits, ensure adherence to policies, and recommend credit enhancements where beneficial
- Ensure compliance with all SCB Group policies, governance standards, and applicable financial regulations
- Provide market insights, color, and investment ideas to clients, maintaining regular dialogue and engagement
- Act as SCB ambassador at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
Experience & skills
- Extensive experience in investor sales with proven track record of hedge fund and institutional client coverage
- Deep knowledge of FX, interest rate derivatives, and credit markets
- Strong client relationships within the hedge fund and institutional investor community
- Experience managing revenue targets and account portfolios
- Excellent understanding of financial markets, macro strategy, and investment banking products
- Strong compliance mindset with knowledge of securities regulations and market risk
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to engage senior clients
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (advanced degree or CFA preferred)
- Proven ability to cross-sell products and work collaboratively with trading, structuring, and corporate banking teams
- Strong risk management, governance, and stakeholder engagement capabilities
