Job description
The Relationship Manager – Mashreq Gold role within the Retail Banking Group is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of High Net Worth (HNW) Mashreq Gold clients in the United Arab Emirates under a full-time office-based arrangement. The role focuses on providing personalized banking services to develop close client relationships, achieve maximum profitable contribution for both the client and the bank, and retain client loyalty. The position is accountable for enhancing Mashreq Gold balance sheet sales and revenues through proactive cross-selling and up-selling of banking, wealth management, and financial market products to existing and new-to-bank clients. The Relationship Manager sources new HNW business through referrals, marketing activities, and personal networks, ensures clients are fully aware of the bank’s financial services offering, and delivers revenue growth in line with annual and monthly financial targets. The role emphasizes proactive client engagement, superior customer service, portfolio optimization, and safeguarding the bank against potential loss, AML risks, and fraud, while maintaining ethical conduct throughout the sales lifecycle. The position also involves managing competition from alternative investment and wealth management providers, enhancing Mashreq Gold’s market profile, and minimizing customer attrition through consistent and proactive relationship management.

- Manage and grow a portfolio of High Net Worth Mashreq Gold clients by delivering personalized relationship management services
- Enhance Mashreq Gold balance sheet sales and revenues through effective cross-selling and up-selling of banking and wealth products
- Source new-to-bank High Net Worth clients through referrals, marketing initiatives, and personal professional networks
- Identify and understand HNW client financial needs and align appropriate Mashreq Gold products and services
- Achieve assigned revenue, sales, and portfolio growth targets across multiple banking and investment products
- Optimize the potential value of the client base through delivery of Mashreq Gold products and services
- Maximize profitability from the Mashreq Gold portfolio while countering competition from alternative investment and wealth management providers
- Maintain proactive and regular client contact to ensure superior customer service and minimize customer attrition
- Ensure clients are informed of all relevant financial services offered by the bank
- Safeguard the bank from potential losses by adhering to AML, fraud prevention, and ethical sales standards at all times
- Enhance the market profile and awareness of Mashreq Gold within the High Net Worth segment
Experience & skills
- Hold a university degree from a recognized institution
- Possess a minimum of five to six years of experience in a similar relationship management role within a bank or financial services organization in the UAE
- Demonstrate strong selling capabilities and solid knowledge of financial markets
- Have proven experience managing High Net Worth client portfolios and achieving revenue and growth targets
- Demonstrate expertise in cross-selling and up-selling retail banking and wealth management products
- Possess strong relationship management and client networking skills
- Demonstrate understanding of AML, fraud prevention, and ethical banking practices
- Hold CISI certification
- Exhibit excellent communication and negotiation skills suitable for High Net Worth client engagement
