Job description
The Senior Specialist – Operational Compliance & Standards acts as the regulatory focal point for Flight Operations, managing and maintaining operational manuals, programs, and documents in line with civil aviation regulations and industry standards. The role ensures operational effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and readiness for internal and external audits, while providing expertise in operational documentation and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities
- Coordinate revision and amendments of Operations Manual Part A (OM-A) policies, instructions, and procedures in collaboration with relevant SMEs.
- Manage the Cold Weather Operations Program, including updates to manuals and holdover time guidelines.
- Author, review, and coordinate Aircrew Notices (ACNs) and internal memos for regulatory and operational compliance.
- Lead and support internal and external audits, corrective/preventive actions, and root cause analyses.
- Identify regulatory gaps and advise on corrective actions to maintain compliance.
- Prepare compliance matrices, perform gap analyses, and support audit readiness for GCAA and IOSA inspections.
- Oversee publication and revision of flight operations manuals and related documents with the Technical Author.
- Perform quality control of flight operations documents and processes, ensuring adherence to internal and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with GCAA and Compliance Monitoring for approvals and acceptance of manuals and documentation.
- Represent Flight Operations in Safety Action Group (SAG), Operational Risk Assessment (ORA), and other internal forums.
- Monitor flight crew reports and provide recommendations for closure of operational issues.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy across flight operations manuals and company operational/corporate documents.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- Minimum 7 years of airline experience as flight crew or in operational compliance and standards.
- Holds or has held an Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Fluent in English; additional languages advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, operational documentation, and audit processes.
- Demonstrated competencies in strategic thinking, business acumen, decision-making, teamwork, and communication.
