Job description
The Associate β Technology Support Specialist (On-site) at EY in Dubai plays a critical role within Enterprise Technology by enabling employees to work efficiently and securely through reliable, hands-on technology support. This role is specifically open to UAE Nationals as part of EYβs commitment to local talent development. The position involves on-site support for hardware, software, and end-user technologies in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include deploying and configuring firm-standard devices, resolving incidents, supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, managing IT assets, and providing after-hours support when required. The specialist collaborates with multiple EY Technology teams, acts as remote hands for telecommunications and hosting teams, and ensures minimal disruption to business operations by proactively identifying and resolving technical issues. The role requires strong analytical and customer service skills, the ability to prioritize effectively, and the capacity to work across multiple technologies while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities
- Deploy, install, configure, and test firm-standard hardware and software for end users.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning new hires and collecting hardware from departing employees.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to hardware, software, and mobile technologies, and identify recurring issues to prevent future disruptions.
- Assist with coordinating hardware repairs and reinstall software as required to restore user functionality.
- Provide after-hours support for escalated technology issues with minimal supervision.
- Perform asset management activities including procurement, inventory tracking, distribution, and compliance with EY policies.
- Support off-site technology requirements for meetings, events, office relocations, and firm-sponsored initiatives.
- Act as remote hands for Telecommunications, Hosting, and other Enterprise Technology teams.
- Maintain knowledge of EY Technology services to anticipate and proactively address end-user needs.
- Communicate clearly with users regarding issue status, timelines, and resolution expectations.
Experience & skills
- UAE National (Emirati) as per local hiring regulations.
- Approximately 2β4 years of experience in end-user technology support or IT operations.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for resolving escalated incidents.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with commitment to delivering high-quality support.
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Experience supporting hardware deployments, office moves, or large user populations is an advantage.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
