Job description
One of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia sits behind this role, a mixed-use development spanning sports facilities, entertainment, arts venues, and the infrastructure that ties them together. Mace is one of the delivery partners on the project and needs a high-calibre, experienced commercial lead to run integrated teams through each phase. You will direct the preparation and formal execution of contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licences with all relevant parties. Large teams fall under your leadership, with a focus on performance, behaviours, and continuous improvement against organisational KPIs. Valuation measurement runs through the role too, feeding cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting that has to hold up under scrutiny. Monthly post-contract cost reports get produced and presented directly to the client. Cost impacts from design changes, contract awards, construction activity, and client-driven requirements need catching early, and contractor and subcontractor claims around delays and additional costs require evaluation. Practical completion certificates, making-good-defects guidance, and final completion requirements also sit with you. Cost Consultants report into the role, with the work extending to sharpening cost management procedures, tools, and templates while supporting net-zero carbon objectives.
