Job description
The Principal Construction & Pre-Commissioning professional at Wood will support mining projects, particularly a strategic initiative led by Maāaden to develop a new gold mine and processing facility in Ar Rjum, Saudi Arabia. Based in Al-Khobar or Riyadh, the role involves oversight of construction execution plans, monitoring on-site progress and contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include resolving technical queries, managing field changes, and supervising documentation updates. The position plays a critical role in mechanical completion, punch list resolution, and support during commissioning and pre-startup phases. Candidates must have a bachelorās degree in engineering or equivalent experience, with at least 10 years (degree qualified) or 15 years (trade qualified) in construction for relevant industries. Expertise in interpreting technical documentation, risk assessments, HAZOPS, and HAZIDS is essential. Strong leadership and the ability to manage teams and delegate tasks effectively are required. The role contributes to Saudi Arabiaās Vision 2030 and Maāadenās 2040 strategic goals.
