Job description
The Assistant Manager — Demand Planning at Transguard Group plays a strategic role in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of training and onboarding operations across the organization. Based in Dubai, this position ensures that workforce training programs are aligned with business goals, focusing on efficient onboarding, optimal resource use, and contractual compliance. The role involves developing analytical forecasts to anticipate staffing needs, managing operational risks, and coordinating between multiple stakeholders to maintain service-level agreements (SLAs) and prevent penalties. The Assistant Manager leads initiatives to streamline processes, reduce idle time, improve utilization, and enhance operational excellence through data-driven decision-making. Acting as a liaison between internal departments, procurement, and external training providers, the incumbent ensures timely program delivery, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement in training planning and reporting.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute training schedules in alignment with onboarding and business requirements
- Monitor and forecast training requirements using data-driven analysis and predictive modeling
- Manage and mitigate operational risks to ensure compliance with SLAs and avoid financial penalties
- Identify cost optimization opportunities by improving training efficiency and reducing idle time
- Oversee the application and processing of Airside Passes and Airport Driving Permits to prevent operational delays
- Negotiate with external training vendors to balance cost and quality expectations
- Collaborate with procurement and client stakeholders to align training costs and contractual obligations
- Develop KPIs and dashboards to measure and monitor operational and training performance
- Ensure compliance with all company, contractual, and safety standards in training activities
- Supervise the publication and maintenance of trainer schedules and ensure data accuracy in tracking systems
- Prepare periodic reports analyzing training trends, cost implications, and process performance
- Lead the team to maintain high operational standards and ensure accurate documentation in employee databases
- Drive innovation in training processes, fostering creativity and efficiency improvements
- Serve as an escalation point for resolving critical issues impacting SLAs or client satisfaction
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate strong leadership and management abilities to guide the Demand Planning team
- Have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite
- Exhibit excellent attention to detail, time management, and prioritization skills
- Possess effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Show hands-on experience with data management, analysis, and forecasting tools
- Display customer service orientation and client relationship management experience
- Demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in dynamic environments
- Experience in training coordination, resource allocation, and process optimization is preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy in fast-paced operational contexts
